Dear church member,

We thank you for your participation in our livestream church services, but know that you are missed here at Skyview! Though fellowship is not the same livestream as it is on campus, it has been such a blessing to be able to utilize modern technology to continue the Preaching of God’s Word!

Included in this note are many important announcements as well as an attachment from the Christian Law Association detailing SBC’s reopening and meeting guidelines. Please read over these carefully so you can make an informed decision for you and your household.

#1. Skyview is planning on opening its doors for on-campus church services in 2 weeks, on May 17th. (We will still be holding next week’s parking lot service.)

Please note that there is a potential risk (physically and legally) to attend church before our state is officially reopened, and SBC is working with our local government as well as going above and beyond to provide the safest facilities possible for those attending church. Pastor White and the deacons have met regarding this, and believe that opening our doors is what the Lord would want at this time.

Serving people has always been the heart of Skyview and through the years, SBC has done much to help its members and serve our community. It is not okay that coffee and cannabis shops are deemed essential to our communities when churches are deemed non-essential! The 1st Amendment of the Constitution protects our freedom of religion against governmental prohibition. ( Hebrews 10:23-25)

#2. Social-distancing will be in effect with a designated safety team to monitor and assist with church services.

In the attachment provided are guidelines that Skyview Baptist Church will be enforcing during our services in the near future. These are in place for two primary reasons; first, to keep all in attendance safe and second, to adhere to the highest law of our land. (Romans 13:1-5) Please note that if you are at high risk or work with people who are at high risk , we encourage you to continue utilizing our livestream services via Facebook or our website,

#3. All who wish to attend a church services must be willing to follow all of SBC’s safety guidelines which include but are not limited to; wearing a mask and gloves the entire time you are on property, having your temperature checked, and being willing to leave if asked.

We are excited to continue church services with our new safety guidelines for that means, we get to see you! Please continue to pray for our country’s health and leadership during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Pastor White or any of the deacons.

May God richly bless you,

Pastor Roman White
